Buying art
In what formats can I buy your art?
Most artworks are available three ways: the one-of-a-kind original, an A4 print on quality paper, or a high-resolution digital file you can print yourself. Choose the format on each artwork page. Postcards and a few pieces are sold as originals only.
Are the framed artworks sold with the frame?
Yes. Artworks shown framed are sold framed, with the frame included in the price. Artworks shown unframed are sold as they are. There is no separate frame charge.
How much is shipping and where do you ship?
We are based in Aarhus and ship across Denmark, Europe and worldwide. Shipping is quoted per order based on size and destination; digital files have no shipping. Tell us your artwork and country in an inquiry and we confirm the cost before you pay.
How do I actually buy a piece?
On the artwork page choose your format and size, then use Inquire or Reserve. That opens a short message pre-filled with the artwork details and sends it to us by email; we reply with availability, shipping and payment. Online card checkout is coming soon.
What do I get with a digital file?
A high-resolution file for personal use, suitable for printing at home or at a print shop up to A4 and larger depending on the piece. It is for your own use, not for resale or commercial licensing; ask us if you need a commercial licence.
Commissions
How do PhD thesis cover commissions work?
Contact us before you go to print. Send your thesis title, at least one main paper, and any ideas of your own. We design and deliver in about 2 to 4 weeks; price is 3,000 to 5,000 kr depending on complexity. See the Custom Art page for details.
Can I commission a painting as a gift?
Yes. Thesis gift paintings are framed originals based on someone's research field, made for a defence, graduation or milestone. Tell us about their work and we create a piece that speaks to it, framed and ready to give.
Do you take custom or non-scientific commissions too?
Yes. Alongside scientific illustration and thesis covers we paint murals and personal commissions. Tell us your idea, space or occasion and we will suggest an approach and price.
Workshops
Where do you run workshops and what do they cost?
We come to your school, workplace or venue in and around Aarhus, elsewhere by arrangement, and we also run live online sessions. Workshops are tailored to the group, so we quote per booking. See the Workshops page and send a request with your group size and preferred dates.
